Job Goal: To provide a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Supports the lead teacher in conducting individual and group activities to encourage learning and develop social interaction skills.
Prepares and/or serves children's meals.
QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years classroom experience preferred Have basic training in caring for young children Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions from the director Childcare or school teaching experience preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Review learning material with students, either individually or in small groups to help reinforce lessons presented by lead teachers Supervise students in class, during lunch hour, playtime or recess, and at special events Aid in teaching appropriate behavior and social skills to students Assist in enforcing school and classroom rules Assist with record keeping, such as attendance records, student progress notes and grades Help teachers prepare for lessons by assembling materials and equipment Provide personal aid and care as necessary to students, such as helping with hygiene, eating, or toileting Follow all licensing guidelines Pursue and attend professional development opportunities Build trusting relationships and bond with the children in your care PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Attendance and punctuality are an expectation of the position.
Some driving is required both in and out of District; and therefore, transportation is necessary.
Some extended hours and multiple demands for several people are frequently required of the employee.
