Job Goal: To provide a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Supports the lead teacher in conducting individual and group activities to encourage learning and develop social interaction skills.
Prepares and/or serves children's meals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years classroom experience preferred
Have basic training in caring for young children
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions from the director
Childcare or school teaching experience preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review learning material with students, either individually or in small groups to help reinforce lessons presented by lead teachers
Supervise students in class, during lunch hour, playtime or recess, and at special events
Aid in teaching appropriate behavior and social skills to students
Assist in enforcing school and classroom rules
Assist with record keeping, such as attendance records, student progress notes and grades
Help teachers prepare for lessons by assembling materials and equipment
Provide personal aid and care as necessary to students, such as helping with hygiene, eating, or toileting
Follow all licensing guidelines
Pursue and attend professional development opportunities
Build trusting relationships and bond with the children in your care
